Thank you for your interest in Monarch Goldens, hobby breeders of UKC registered Golden Retrievers. We have a small home kennel with only a few dogs so each and every one is part of our family and is not kept as isolated kennel dog. We are active in hunting, conformation shows, hunt tests, agility, obedience, and pet therapy. In our breeding program we strive to produce sound, healthy, quality goldens that are true to breed type both in temperament and conformation. We feel strongly that a dog should do what it was bred to do. Our goal is to breed a Golden Retriever who can go hunting, have success in the show ring, then go home and play with the family all in the same day… the all around, versatile golden. We have a selective breeding program and produce a limited number of litters, each with a specific goal in mind. We incorporate both imported English and American dogs in our line to strengthen health, temperament, and to eliminate inbreeding. All our dogs are tested for genetic hip, elbow, heart, and eye diseases prior to breeding.
